Hi! I’m Milan Tamang, a graphic designer with passion and creativity. It is my belief, that design means more than just appearance. It is about storytelling, problem-solving and creating purposeful visual experiences. Design is a language. I love utilizing that language to express ideas that can engage, move, and remain in the minds of those whom I share it with.
I have experience in visual communication and a love for minimal, functional design. I want to make images that are fun to look at and still function in context. I like branding, logo design, editorial design, digital design, social media design. I enjoy taking a complex idea and converting it into a simple image so that I can move the audience’s understanding of the intention quickly.
Whatever the project is I try to start with intention. I have seen how developing work with intention and purpose can bring people together, spark ideas, and inspire action.
I have a design sensibility that rests in between creativity and strategy. Understanding the underlying goals of each project I work on is a priority for me and I aim to create designs that express the message, tone, and personality of the brand or client. Curiosity and a desire to learn are the foundation of my practice, as a designer I am proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) but also an avid learner and explorer of tools, trends, and techniques to further develop my creative process and gain a competitive edge.
Design is not just what I do, it is how I view the world and inform my processes of thought. Personally, I am curious by nature and a free spirit which means my individual interests, on a positive note, often influence and recharge my creative processes outside of the visual screen, my personal interests are an immense part of who I am and help support my enthusiasm for design:
Photography – Capturing moments, details, and perspectives that tell a story- Illustration – Sketching and bringing ideas to life with hand-drawn elements
- Exploring Typography – Playing with fonts and letterforms to create mood and tone
- Experimenting with Print Techniques – Tactile design and exploring how print adds depth
- Journaling – Reflecting on thoughts and organizing creativity
- Listening to Music – Finding inspiration in melodies, lyrics, and rhythms
- Watching Films with Strong Cinematography – Observing color, light, and storytelling
- Nature Hikes – Recharging in nature, where simplicity and balance thrive
These experiences excite me and showcase my work, allowing me to make from my heart and inspiration.
